The International School of Excellence has started to live up to it's
name. First, there was a huge effort put into revolutionizing teaching
and learning at the school to ensure excellence in the classroom. Now
comes the drive to focus on the international heritage of the staff and
students at the school, as well as the global nature of the world that
our children will inherit from us.
The International School of Excellence has long been central to
fostering good relations between communities in Calgary, and supporting
this black history event is an extension of that commitment. The school
works hard to show students the true nature of the world around them,
from visits to the Mustard Seed and collections for the food bank, to
lectures by guest speakers from government.
