Applications for the ECS program for 2007/8 are up 100% on last year, in addition to waiting lists for other elementary classes and increased applications for high school places. Parents and students cite school's commitment to selecting the best students, and innovative online learning systems as being the reason for increased interest in high school program. Excellence in ECS teaching and learning cited as reasons behind increased applications for ECS places.

A lack of ECS and daycare spaces, coupled with an excellent ECS teacher and program, have led to a record number of enquiries about places in our ECS program next year. To reduce the uncertainty faced by families looking for an excellent start to their child's education, the school has decided to accept applications for places before the the school's Open Day at the end of the month.

A number of families have already taken advantage of this decision, registering children for next year's program already. At the moment, we expect demand to outstrip our ability to outstrip the number of places in the ECS program within a few weeks. Although we are a private school, we do recognize our central role in fostering a sense of community, and if demand for places is high enough, we will rent a portable classroom facility to increase the number of places we can offer.

In addition to the increase in demand for ECS places, the school is currently experiencing a high application volume for places in junior and senior high. Parents and students are impressed by our commitment to only take the best students as evidenced by the fact that we reject more students than we accept, as a result of our stringent entrance exam and interview process.

In addition, applicants and their families are interested in the school's innovative online learning facility, especially families who regularly travel for work, or to visit relatives in another country for extended periods of time. Our online learning system means that their children can stay connected with their school work over the internet, regardless of the time of day or their location.
