Tuition fees.

The basic tuition fee. Our basic annual tuition fees are as follows: - ECS (all day): $7500 - Grades 1-9: $7000 - Grades 10-12: $7500 The fee covers school stationery supplies, locker rental, agendas and exam fees, as well as tuition. We also offer a range of discounts to help encourage continuity and stability in your child's education. Please see the discounts article below for more information. Registration. When registering your child for the year, we make a charge to reserve your place and cover the cost of administration. The registration charges are as follows: New students: $500 per child. Returning students: $200 per child. We will be running a registration rebate scheme next year to help defray some of these costs. See the Registration Rebate Scheme section below.
Optional fees. Some events need to be paid for by individual students, and these would include field trips and visits to destinations outside of Calgary. The price of each extended visit would be communicated to parents in advance, and participation in such activites would be entirely optional. Students who wish to participate in school sports events will be charged a rental fee for sports uniforms. This enables us to spread the cost of the uniform over a number of years, and saves parents having to purchase new equipment on an annual basis. Students who need to re-sit a course will be charged a fee to cover the cost of the extra tuition. The cost varies for each course, depending on the complexity of the module, but is usually around $50 per course.
Discounted fees and payment options. Families with more than one child at the school may qualify for a discount for each subsequent child. Multi-child discounts can be applied for at any time, contact the Administrator's office for more information. We offer a number of payment options to help families spread the cost of tuition: Advance Payment Option 1. - Register your child by 30th June to qualify for a 20% discount on tuition for 2008/2009. Advance Payment Option 2. - Pay the year's tuition fee in full by 30th August to qualify for a 7% discount on tuition. Installment Plan 1. - Pay in ten monthly installments by the 5th of each month to qualify for a $150 rebate at the end of the year. Registration rebate scheme. We recognize the importance of developing a community of learners at the International School of Excellence. To help encourage the development of this community, we will be running a registration rebate scheme from next year. Any student who successfully passes all mid-term and final exams, and has a good disciplinary and attendance record, will receive a $150 rebate at the end of June 2009. Before and after-scool care. A number of parents have enquired about providing care for their child before and after school hours, to enable them to develop their careers without worrying if their children are safe. If there is sufficient interest, we will run before and after-school care from next year. The cost will be based on the number of people wishing to use the facility, the more students we have, the lower the cost will be.
